I can't believe the difference in the boys since last Christmas. They are soo grown up now!.
So Christmas for us started slightly early.
On Thursday (20th) we met Angela and James at JJ's. The boys gave each other presents so they were far to engrossed in those (Freds rocket!) to actually play - plus it was heaving with school kids so we left after an hour. Once we got back we received a massive delivery, as I opened it I realised it was a present for the boys but they had already seen it, so I let them have it then. Went down a treat was a ride on airplane!! Very cool - from Milly James and Charlie.
Then on Friday Steve had the day off work so was nice to have him home!.
We went shopping to buy Christmas Dinner. Whilst there I saw some make your own Cracker sets, so set Steve and the boys up to make those. Lots of glue and glitter later we had crackers!!
Mark and Chantal came round in the afternoon to see the boys (well and us!) the boys got given a dressing gown each. They looked adorable.
As Mark and Chantal were staying the night we were blowing up their bed to put upstairs but the boys decided using it as a trampoline was much more exciting.
We had a Christmas Dinner with them, though Fred woke just as we started to eat and decided to join us! He was soo tired but looked very pleased with himself to be sitting up late (9pm!) and eating with us. He conked out soon after though.
The next few days we took the boys to see Father Christmas on the polar express. We did a bit of last minute shopping and wrapping (well I did!!). Took the boys out for lunch and just relaxed a bit.
Christmas Eve, I went over to pick up the boys main presents we got them from Mum and Dads, they were too big to store here without them seeing them.
Here they are!!
Harrys Car!
Freds Bike!
We then had to leave out a drink and a snack for Father Christmas - Fred chose - a glass of Apple Squash and a penguin biscuit!! Oh and a carrot. Bless him I bet Father Christmas was pleased :)
Amazingly the day didnt start much earlier than normal 7 I think Fred finally dragged us out of bed. Ha I bet we wont be saying that in a few years though.
I do have a couple of videos from Freddie discovering his presents from Father Christmas and from us but they are taking far too long to upload, so will add them later. Here are the pictures though.
Harry with his favourite present (it cost 50p!!! - well so FC tells me) He hasn't stopped playing with it since :)
Harry on his car!
Playing with the toys Mummy and Daddy got them.
After that we all got dressed and ready to go and left for Steves Mum and Dads. Fred begrudginglt left his bike behind but the weather was awful and despite us taking 2 cars we knew we wouldnt have enough room (we were right!).
Harry doing what he does best - I think he thought perhaps he got food for Christmas!
We waited for Steves grandparents to arrive then the present opening started!!!
We all got totally spoilt :) Lots more than we asked for but none of us are complaining!
At around lunchtime we left for my parents, Now somehow I managed to miss taking many photos, and I totally missed photos of the boys opening their presents!!! OOOPS - I blame the wine Steves dad "forced" me to drink and Steve for not taking photos.
Anyway as I dont have photos amongst the many things they got (far too many) Fred got his Oven (a massive Kitchen) from Mum and Dad and a Scaletrix from Dan, Harry got a Mountain that cars race down and an activity cube thing.
Here are some other photos from the rest of the day.
We finally managed to get the boys to sleep then settled in for the night.
On Boxing Day we went back to Steves parents house for the day.
We had run out of memory on the camera by now due to the videos we took so no photos sorry! But we had a fab day just playing and eating and drinking.
The next day we had to go and retrieve the presents. I picked up my car from Jean and Harrys and filled the boot, plus was given another black sack of unopened presents from Steves Uncle.
I then drove over to Mum and Dads and filled the back seat and front seat with toys - plus was given another 2 sacks of presents from Nan and Grandad and Pete and Pat! Oh my!!! I had a carload - see I was right about leaving the bike behind. I am always right though so not much of a suprise.
I finally got the toys and bags into the house and this was the result - bear in mind tha behind me was the tree and the 3 sacks of presents. Oh and an hour after I took this Mel, Dave Connor and Katelyn were arriving bearing more presents!!!

Friday we decided to brave the sales. And order our furniture!!! Thanks to the generousity of everyone we managed to get pretty much enough for the 3 items we wanted so all ordered and we are eagerly awaiting them now. Got a few other bits and bobs.
I finally managed to sort our lounge so it half resembles a lounge rather than a playroom (oh I want a playroom again I miss my old one!)
So thats about it really.
Oh Harry got his first molar! YAY Harry but he has also got a rash on his eyes (can see here) not sure if its teething related or not or if its exzcema (I hope not!) but will take him to docs if it doesnt clear up soon.
Happy New Year to you all!!!!!!!!!!!
Lorraine, Steve, Freddie and Harry xxxxx
